Ive got a habanero plant growing, i got it as a plug and put it in the green house however my green house collapsed due to strong winds, the habanero is in my kitchen at the mo with clear bottle over it to help with with warmth but hes looking sad, does he need the bottle? Will it survive outside without the greenhouse?

Will it survive outside? Yes and no.

Yes, if you can gradually acclimatise it to the great outdoors. No, if you transfer it into the garden and leave it unsheltered in the wind and cold. Assuming its established ? The plant needs to be gradually hardened off. Don't try this too early either. Early morning frosts can still occur in May.

If its looking sad .... could it be that with the bottle over it in the kitchen that the plant is overheating? Is it always in the sun? Is it near central heating? Is the soil wet, moist or dry? Is the plant in the right size pot with good soil and good drainage?
